How do I enter?
  1. Complete the Contest entry form in its entirety
  2. Provide a brief essay of no more than 300 words that tells us something that you do/your child does that makes you/him or her exceptional.
  3. Select whether you would like to provide a video or photos with your entry.
    • If you provide a video, please add at least one photo of you/your child in your/his or her school uniform.
    • If you provide photos only along with your essay you can provide up to 6.
  4. Provide the required information about your/your child’s school and uniform preference.
  5. Check the box to agree to and accept the Official Rules and click Submit.

What are the prizes?

Grand Prize: There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won. The Grand Prize includes $10,000 to be awarded to the entrant, and $5,000 in French Toast school uniform vouchers will be awarded to the school the entrant/the entrant’s child that was featured in the entry attends, to be used exclusively at the retailer where they purchase their school uniforms.

First Prize: There are five (5) First Prizes available to be won. Each First Prize includes $500 to be awarded to the entrant, and $100 in French Toast school uniform vouchers to be awarded to the school the entrant attends, to be used exclusively at the retailer where they purchase their school uniforms.

Second Prize: There are four (4) Second Prizes available to be won. Each Second Prize includes a $100 gift card.

What is the judging based on?
  • Originality (30%)
  • Creativity (30%)
  • Authenticity (30%)
  • Quality of photos/video (10%)

How do I know that I am eligible to enter the contest?

You must be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and be at least 13 years of age at time of entry. Entrants must either attend or be the parent/legal guardian of a child who attends a school that requires its students to wear uniforms as part of its dress code.

What is an entry?

An entry contains an essay of no more than 300 words, accompanied by a video or photo of you/your child with a completed entry form.

Can I enter more than once?

You can only enter yourself once into the Contest. If you are a parent entering for your child, you may enter as many of your children into the contest as you would like.

What should be in my photo or video?

Videos or photos should feature your child performing or telling us about something that makes them exceptional or unique. Examples might be your child playing a sport, musical instrument or performing community work. There is no limit as to what can be sent, as long as the content is safe for children.

What are the specifications for my video/photos?

Please upload photographs in the jpeg format and no more than 2MB, up to 6 photos may be submitted per entry.

All videos must uploaded in the jpeg format and under 2 minutes in length featuring your child in their school uniform.

What is the judging and voting procedure?

First Round of judging

The First Round of judging will be conducted by a panel of judges, to be determined by the Sponsor, based on the following criteria to determine the ten (10) top-scoring entries (the “Finalists”). Finalists will be determined on or around November 1, 2010.

Second Round of judging

The ten (10) Finalist entries will be posted at www.uinuniform.com upon completion of the First Round of judging where individuals may vote for their favorite entry. All votes in the Second Round of judging must be cast by 11:59 PM ET November 21, 2010. Limit: One (1) vote per person.

The Finalist entry that receives the most votes in the Second Round of judging will be named the potential Grand Prize winner. The Finalist entries that receive the second to sixth most votes in the Second Round of judging will be named the potential First Prize winners. The remaining Finalist entries will be named the potential Second Prize winners.

In the event of a tie in any round of judging, the tied Entry with the highest score in the “Creativity” criteria in the First Round of judging will be deemed the winner.

Will I be notified if my entry is going to be chosen for the final vote?

Yes, First Round Finalists will be determined on or around November 1, 2010 and will be notified as determined.

Second Round winners will be notified by telephone and/or confirmed in writing via US mail or other form of home delivery within five (5) days of the close of the Second Round of judging.

Can I vote more than once?

No, each person can only vote one time, so be sure to spread the word and get as many votes for your entry as possible.

How can I solicit votes for my entry?

Spread the word! Tell your friends and family to log on and vote for your entry on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and www.uinuniform.com.
